There’s always more to us we don’t know. It’s probably why we keep surprising ourselves.
We are all full of surprises, we are all full of abilities we don’t even know we possess, until we tap into them. I know of writers who know nada about literature, yet they write as though they were groomed in it. You are like, “nice pun”, “your imagery is superb”, “your way with metaphors is one of a kind”. And they are like “what the hell’s a pun?” “What’s a metaphor?”Likewise, there are traditional/visual artists who know nothing about the rules involved in the art they practice, all they do is mess with it till it makes sense, and I mean MAKE SENSE!
So, go, try those things you think you aren’t good enough for, try them and surprise yourself.
Never get so used to a lie that it begins to become your truth, in such a way that even when the truth presents itself clearly, you are still quite blinded, or rather, imprisoned by that lie you are unwilling to let go. This could probably be because you can’t imagine how your life would be without that lie in your life- a lie you’ve gotten extremely accustomed to, to forfeit easily.
But really, no lie is worth living. The truth, no matter how unfriendly, no matter how late it decides to surface, is actually what you need in your life, to live as you should. Embrace truth and let it set you free from the lie you’ve been imprisoned.
