I ask that you forgive ‘them, and lessen the baggage you carry upon your shoulders, for I’ve come to realise that such a thing does no good, but slows one down.

They came at night, lifting their evil banners on one hand, and darts on the other. They paraded streets, looking for souls to abduct, and men to recruit. They chanted perilous slogans to announce their presence, and no one dared to remain outdoors whenever these marauding fellows came to ‘play’.
They were men of the night who caused lives to take flight, they were hijackers of peace, and of course, every man’s nightmare.
I had to leave,
cos tarrying would only
bring you more harm than good.
You call it cowardice,
I call it saving your ass.
This heart has been to a tough war,and there, it got punctured,
there, it bled, and bled,
but never did it die.
The mutilations it suffered,
won’t mar it from loving as it should. Though it seems out of shape,
it will continue to beat perfectly.
Though it looks severely broken,
the love it holds will forever remain whole.
This heart has been to a tough war,
but it shan’t stop reeking of pure love.
The past should teach you, not break you -Twani Toria
It’s okay to visit the past, but, when you do, don’t come back to the present as someone full of regrets, be someone who has learnt from it.
I saw her dancing in the crowd, with
some pretty beads
around her waist;
quite a sexy waist,
I must say.
She swayed this
way and that, moving
along to the rhythm
of the music with
glorious perfection.
Oh my, never have I
seen a body portray
such mighty poetry.
We once called them wise men, duffing our caps, giving them
all the respect we’ve got, only
for them to begin doing things
only foolish men would do,
making fools out of us.

Listen dear,I have once lived a life as such;
pushing everyone away,
preventing love from creeping in,
blaming love for my falls,
never seeing the bigger picture.
And if there was anything I learnt from it,
it is, to never live a life as such
Come, let’s undress our souls
and expose the demons that
lurk in there.
Your Love is quite fremd;it places me at sixes and sevens
It is of such a great rarity;
there is none of its kind.
Too beautiful;
it can’t be left unappreciated.
Intensely capitivating;
one can’t help but be awed.
Your Love is love in it’s truest form.
It is one helluva of an honour
to be under the grace of such.
